BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 A.M.) – Turkey sent a security delegation to the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate this weekend after the rebel forces in the province complained about the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) ambush near the Idlib buffer zone.
According to opposition activists, the Turkish military sent the security delegation from the Hatay province to the Hama Governorate town of Al-Lataminah.
Al-Lataminah is the location of the Jaysh Al-Izza headquarters in the Hama province.
Jaysh Al-Izza was the Free Syrian Army (FSA) faction that was ambushed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) near the Idlib buffer zone on Thursday.
The opposition activists said that the Turkish delegation met with the commanders of Jaysh Al-Izza and discussed ways to respond to the deadly ambush that eliminated more than 20 of their fighters.
