BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – On Monday, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 81 targets belonging to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, as part of the Operation Eagle Claw.
The ministry published on its official Twitter account, a video showing the moment their missiles targeted bases in northern Iraq.
“The first pictures from Operation Eagle Claw, where terrorists’ burrows were destroyed,” the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported.

For his part, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar congratulated the air force pilots on the success of the military operation.
“The nests of the terrorists from where they were carrying out their provocations against our country, our people, our military outposts and our military bases were destroyed, and from which they attempted to launch terrorist attacks.”
The minister added: “So we congratulate you all, and we are proud of you, and on behalf of myself and the chief of staff and commanders of the forces, we congratulate you on what you have provided, and the homeland is grateful to you.”
Iraq has since condemned this military operation, while calling on Turkey to respect its territorial sovereignty.
