The Turkish regime offered the Kremlin on Thursday, a chance to conduct joint military operations against the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in Syria, the AFP reported this afternoon.

This latest offer by the Turkish regime comes just 48 hours after Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The Russian government has not issued an official response to this offer; however, they are likely to accept, given their commitment to defeating the Islamic State.

“Turkish regime”, but “Russian government” 🙂 Such small things typically shows current bias.

Also
“Syrian government” vs “Assad regime”,
“Syrian rebels” vs “Islamic terrorists”
first one positive, second negative. While those labels doesn’t says much about it’s subject, they say a lot about the one, who is using them.

a government is always a regime… Sometimes it even used to be a banana regime in a banana republic 😉 Regime is faster to type than government, anyway, Erdogan’s regime really sucks

Well, this seems a little premature to say. I don’t find anything from AFP about this, and this article is a little bit more precise:
http://english.alarabiya.net/en/News/2016/08/11/Turkey-offers-Russia-joint-operations-against-ISIS-in-Syria.html

““We will discuss all the details. We have always called on Russia to carry out anti-Daesh (ISIS) operations together,” Cavusoglu said in a live interview with the private NTV television, adding that the proposal was still “on the table”.”

I would wait for actual actions before putting too much into this.

Assad trusted him, see the results… IMHO, Gollum uses this to blackmail the US, another interesting point : dead men tell no tales… You can be sure that if he’s allowed to fly over Syria, which is dubious : Assad has rebuilt S-200 Dubna sites in Aleppo, seems they have upgraded seekers, range is 400km, ceiling is 40km. System can be controlled by a S-300 command post, Iran developped a mobile launcher and improvements… I’m not sure Assad will accept turkish F-16 crossing the border. Although these rockets are basicly 40y old technology, once upgraded, well, better take care, if… Read more »

Does Turkey fight ISIS by airpower?

I know that they have used artillery on ISIS, but are they conducting airstrikes as well?

Would be nice to see Turkey and Russia working together. As much as I distaste Turkey, I do value their usefull position and their usefull role they can play in this war.

You have to be retarded to really believe Erdoğan has become good or that Putin was ever part of the resistance – this is all politics for them and have no place in fighting terrorism as Iran, Hezbollah, Iraq and the Syrians themselves have done.
