Turkey killed 28 Kurdish fighters on Saturday in retaliation to an attack which left three Turkish soldiers dead, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier Saturday, three Turkish soldiers were killed and one was injured in a mortar attack by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Turkey southeastern Hakkari province.

The attack targeted a military base in the border province of Hakkari, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile, one Turkish soldier was killed and another was wounded after an attack by the Syrian Kurdish militia in the mainly Kurdish-controlled northern Syrian region of Tel Rifaat.

Turkish army had responded with aerial bombardments and artillery fire both in Turkey’s Hakkari and Syria’s Tel Rifaat, the ministry said.

The PKK, regarded as a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, has waged an insurgency against the Turkish state since 1984.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Well, it may be a problem to cook boiled eggs : it takes 3 minutes, no less, no more. If all the clocks stop working, you’d better have an old-school hourglass since, no matter the spacetime continuum, the Newton’s law of universal gravitation applies. Nevertheless, how do you consider this to happen? Through infinite mass affecting the Lorentzian manifold in general relativity? Or do you consider relying on special relativity through Celerity? Maybe do you consider to Time-WARP factor? Well, Zefram Cochrane only invented the Warp-drive in 2063AD, so yeah, considering the Big-Bang to today time-lapse, we’re nearing the Gäng-Bang…… Read more »
