BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:50 P.M.) – The Turkish regime has asked the Russian Federation to arrest and extradite the leader of the People’s Liberation Party-Front (THKP-C), Mihrac Ural, from the port-city of Sochi.
Ural is considered the main suspect for the deadly attack in the Hatay Province in 2013.
The THKP-C leader was pictured attending the Sochi peace conference this week, as he is aligned with the Syrian government.
“We immediately reacted to this terrorist’s participation there and demanded an explanation from Russia,” Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu told reporters, as quoted by Turkey’s Hurriyet Daily News.
“We want this person’s immediate detention and extradition,” Çavuşoğlu added.
Mihrac Ural is also known as ‘Ali Kiyyali in Syria; he holds Syrian citizen, despite being born in Turkey.
