BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) – In a series of tweets on Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated that the American troops would be withdrawing from Syria and Afghanistan as they have cost Washington a great deal of money.
“I inherited a total mess in Syria and Afghanistan, the “Endless Wars” of unlimited spending and death. During my campaign I said, very strongly, that these wars must finally end. We spend $50 Billion a year in Afghanistan and have hit them so hard that we are now talking peace after 18 long years”, Trump tweeted.
Trump would add that “….after 18 long years. Syria was loaded with ISIS until I came along. We will soon have destroyed 100% of the Caliphate, but will be watching them closely. It is now time to start coming home and, after many years, spending our money wisely. Certain people must get smart!”
As of now, the exact date for the U.S. withdrawal from Syria is unknown because it is contingent on defeating the terrorist group. ; however, it appears that they are close to capturing the Islamic State pocket that is located east of the Euphrates.
