DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:20 A.M.) – Discord between various jihadist groups in Syria still present as recent events proved – this time in northern Latakia countryside.
On Wednesday, militants of Failaq Al-Sham islamist group arrested emir of Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP, Uighur jihadist group from China) in Jabal Al-Akrad (Kurdish mountains).
Abd Al-Khaleq was reportedly an “emir of the Mediterranean coast”.
According to sources, he was arrested after his unit launched mortar shells on Syrian Army’s positions in the area effectively breaching ceasefire.
Failaq Al-Sham, as Turkish-backed group, is a designated part of the ceasefire. So far, militants of the group has been able to abide the agreement.
