BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:45 P.M.) – The top commander of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and founder of Jabhat Al-Nusra, Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani (AKA Ahmad Hussein Al-Shara), was reportedly wounded in northern Syria on Monday.
According to Sputnik’s Turkish language publication, Al-Jolani was wounded when shrapnel struck his head following an explosion inside Idlib city.
Al-Jolani was then rushed to a hospital in the Turkish city of Antakya (var. Antioch), where he was treated for his concussion-like symptoms to his head.
“The person brought to Antakya State Hospital is the terrorist Abu Muhammad al-Jolani,” a source told the Sputnik News Agency on Tuesday.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has yet to issue a statement regarding this alleged incident; however, some opposition activists have posted similar things via social media.
