BEIRUT, LEBANON, (4:50 P.M.) – The top commander for Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus was killed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), local sources claimed on Thursday.
Abu Mohammad Al-Hout was reportedly killed during an attack by the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard near the Al-Reyhan Farms of East Ghouta.
Al-Hout was considered the top military commander/emir of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham in the East Ghouta; his death will leave the jihadist group with a major void in its central command in the region.
In addition to killing Al-Hout, the Syrian Arab Army also managed to carry out a powerful attack against Faylaq Al-Rahman and Jaysh Al-Islam near the village Harzama, capturing several sites in the process of their advance.
