BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 P.M.) – On Friday, The Syrian Arab army graduated a new group of cadets after they completed their mandatory training in western Syria.

According to a military source in the Hama Governorate, the new cadets have joined the elite Tiger Forces, who are under the command of Major General Suheil Al-Hassan.

The source added that the soldiers were trained by several Russian military advisors, who have been active in Syria since October 2015.

Many of these new soldiers will be sent to the front lines in northwestern Syria, where they will join forces with the Syrian Army troops that are already deployed to the Idlib and Hama fronts.

Furthermore, the soldiers under went heavy trained for the upcoming Idlib offense that is expected to start in the coming weeks.

The Tiger Forces have been one of the Syrian Arab Army’s most successful units; they have often led important offensives like east Aleppo (2016), Palmyra (2016 and 2017), Deir Ezzor (2017), and Albukamal (2017).
