BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:20 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their wide-scale offensive in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Friday, liberating another village from the Islamic State (ISIS) forces.
According to Al-Masdar’s northern Syria correspondent, Yusha Yuseef, the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” liberated the village of Munather Al-Jarif on Friday afternoon, following a fierce battle with the Islamic State terrorists.
As a result of today’s advance, the Tiger Forces have now expanded on the buffer-zone around their recent gains in the Deir Hafer Plain of east Aleppo.
The Syrian Arab Army imposed fire-control over Deir Hafer on Thursday after they liberated two villages from the Islamic State; they now surround the city from three different axes.
