Explosion from afar along the Khanasser-Aleppo Road

Minutes ago in the Hama Governorate’s Northeastern countryside, the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” – backed by Liwaa Al-Quds (Jerusalem Brigade), the National Defense Forces (NDF), and the Cheetah Forces “Team 3” – entered the important city of Khanasser after losing it to the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) during clashes yesterday morning.

According to a military source from Liwaa Al-Quds, the Tiger Forces and their allies broke-through ISIS’ defenses at the southern flank of Khanasser this morning and secured the perimeter before they entered this imperative city in northeastern Hama.

In addition to their advance at Khanasser, the Tiger Forces and their allies also reentered the village of Shillalah Al-Kabeera after a violent battle with the ISIS terrorists that captured this site during their powerful assault yesterday; this village is located to the south of the recently captured town of Rasm Al-Nafal.

If the Tiger Forces and their allies recapture both Khanasser and Shillalah Al-Kabeera, they will be only a 4 villages away from clearing the Khanasser-Aleppo Road.

However, the Syrian Armed Forces still have to clear the Sheikh Hillal-Ithriyah Road, which was obstructed by ISIS on Monday evening.

Clashes have intensified this morning between ISIS and the Syrian Armed Forces, as the latter continues to attack the territory seized by the terrorist group over the last 72 hours in northern Syria.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
