BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:35 P.M.) – The elite Tiger Forces of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continue to expand their zone of control along the provincial border shared between the Raqqa and Deir Ezzor Governorates.

Today the Tiger Forces, advancing against ISIS, secured the strategic Khirbet Abu Matar area to the southeast of Al-Salaam Alaikum town, near the western border of Deir Ezzor (which has already been reached in other areas).

According to sources, ISIS is now experiencing a general collapse in southeastern Raqqa Governorate after their major counterattack yesterday, although initially quite effective, ultimately failed to stop the SAA and its allies from maintaining an offensive posture against the jihadist faction.
