BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:10 P.M.) – The commander of the Tiger Forces, Major-General Suheil Al-Hassan, traveled to the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate this week, a source from the group told Al-Masdar News.
According to the military source, General Al-Hassan was given orders to lead his troops from the Tiger Forces in a new battle that is expected to take place inside the Al-Ghaab Plain and northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
The date for the upcoming operation has not been revealed; however, it is expected to begin in the near future, as Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s recent expansion in the Al-Ghaab Plain has raised the Syrian military’s alert levels.
As shown in the photos below, the Tiger Forces commander has arrived in the northwestern Hama and has already met with his officers:
The Tiger Forces, like the 4th Armored Division and Republican Guard, are often called on by the Syrian military to lead big offensives.
In the past, the Tiger Forces have led the battles to liberate Deir Ezzor, Albukamal, Al-Mayadeen, Uqayrbat, Palmyra, and Al-Sukhnah.
