The Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” conducted successful operations in west Hama today, capturing the imperative Tal Nasariyyah in the village of Halfaya. According to a military source, the Tiger Forces were able to secure this hill last night, after Jabhat Al-Nusra was forced to retreat north due to heavy casualties. The source further added that Jabhat Al-Nusra has suffered over 100 casualties in the last three days in Hama.
Al-Nusra Front leader, Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani is said to have fled Halfaya after the recent SAA success. 27 of his militants surrendered to Colonel Soheil Al-Hassan outside of Tal Nasariyyah. Following this victory, the Tiger Forces were able to take full control of Tal Batesh in west Hama.
Despite the casualties, Jabhat Al-Nusra has continued its siege of the predominately Christian city of Mhardeh in west Hama. The militants from the Al-Nusra Front attempted to breach the NDF’s defenses near the Mhardeh Power Plant today; however, their infiltration attempt was foiled. According to a source, clashes are ongoing near the Power Plant, but electricity has been restored to all areas in Mhardeh.
