Three terrorist attacks struck the Sayyida Zeinab District of Greater Damascus on Sunday, killing 83 civilians and wounding over 200 others in this densely populated area near the Syrian capital.
One of the terrorists reportedly detonated a car bomb near the religiously important Sayyida Zeinab shrine, where several thousand pilgrims pay homage to each year.
The most devastating terrorist attack occurred on Al-Teen Street, where it was reported that as many as 50 civilians were killed.
Combined with the terrorist attacks in the Al-Zahra District of Homs City, approximately 150 civilians were killed today in the government controlled areas of Syria.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) took credit for these heinous attacks on Sunday.
