ALEPPO, SYRIA (2:45 A.M.) – Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) sent thousands of fighters to the western suburbs of Aleppo in order to help drive out the jihadist rebels combatting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
According to several reports released by pro-government activists, Liwaa Al-Quds sent thousands of fighters to the contested Minyan, Al-Zahra’a, and Al-Assad suburbs of western Aleppo.
Estimates of the total number of reinforcements sent by Liwaa Al-Quds differ greatly, with some activists claiming as little as 1,200 fighters sent west Aleppo and other claims as high as 6,500 military personnel.
These reinforcements are meant to beef up the government’s defenses in western Aleppo after Jaysh Al-Fateh sent several large units to the Al-Assad and Minyan suburbs on Wednesday.
Al-Masdar reached out to Liwaa Al-Quds’ media team; however, they have yet to respond to these claims.
