BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:10 A.M.) – The Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) announced on Thursday, the killing of what it called the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) emir of northern Baghdad. The Popular Mobilization Units said, as published by the official Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the Operations Command of East Anbar Governorate managed to kill Islamic State leaders north of the Fallujah District. BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:50 A.M.) – A Sudanese newspaper quoted eyewitnesses as saying on Thursday that Ethiopian forces attacked the Sudanese army, prompting the latter to launch a retaliatory attack along the border. According to Al-Sudani News, the Ethiopian forces attacked the Sudanese army from the eastern border in the Birkat Noreen region and imposing its control by advancing inside Sudanese territory, capturing a number of agricultural projects, while a Sudanese soldier was killed.
