On Monday morning, terrorists from the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” entered the Syrian Government controlled Rukan Al-Deen Quarter dressed in Syrian Arab Army fatigues, where they would later commit a suicide bombing near the offices of the SAA’s General of Logistics, killing 3 soldiers and wounding 6 civilians.
The terrorist attack targeted the offices of General Mohammad ‘Eid in the Rukan Al-Deen Quarter of Damascus; this suicide bombing did not harm the general, as he was seen leaving the premises following this attack.
Directly following the suicide bombing, fierce clashes erupted between the SAA and the militants from Jabhat Al-Nusra, resulting in the death of almost a dozen enemy combatants before the situation was declared under control.
With SAA’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard capturing the strategic town of Madaya, the militants from Jaysh Al-Islam have been officially cutoff from their vital supply route that stretches to the village of Al-Dumayr in the east; this has allowed the Republican Guard to restart their siege of the East Ghouta.
