BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – Tensions are rising in northeastern Syria following the arrest of several Syrian military personnel by the Asayish forces (Kurdish police) inside the Al-Hasakah Governorate.

According to reports from the Al-Hasakah Governorate, the Asayish forces arrested several members of the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF) inside the large city of Al-Qamishli.

In response to these arrests, the National Defense Forces arrested four members of the Asayish police, prompting the closure of several roads inside and outside of Al-Qamishli.

The pro-government Al-Watan publication reported that several roads have been closed and snipers have been deployed in the region after tensions increased between the two sides, adding that the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have warned that it will abduct the family members of the NDF forces in Qamishli if its forces are not freed by the Syrian Army.

It added that the SDF has occupied the buildings of the state power generation company in the al-Nashweh district in southern Hasakah.

The SDF also detained a reporter of a Syrian news channel in Qamishli a few days ago accusing him of taking part in the recent unrest in the Al-Hasakah Governorate.

This is utterly ridiculous. Both the Kurds & Syrians have a common Enemy. Rather fighting each other it is better to join hands by collaborating with each other to fight a common enemy.

Turks and Syrian Army will ultimately form the joint forces and get rid of the US backed Kurds.

Kurds (USA-Israel puppets) must leave the occupied Syria land, or to join fully to Syria government and get rid of USA-Israel weapons.

Hey, they’re at home here! Northern Syria+Iraq, SE Turkey and NW Iran have Kurdish majority populations, and they were here long before Arabs or Mongols (Turks). If there weren’t US+French+Brit militaries in Rojava, Turkey would have invaded for long and there had been a genocide. +++ “USA-Israel puppets” >>> It’s always better than being a puppet of Iran or Qatar/Turkey : 1.) There is money 2.) They’re secular 3.) They’re democracies 4.) Unlike Syrian govt who let them behind to die in the hands of ISIS, USA, EU and Israel helped them. +++ “and get rid of USA-Israel weapons” >>>… Read more »

NDF started this by first arresting some civilians. This is not the first time incidents in qamishli are started by NDF almost always ending by escalation at both sides first and then withdrawal of NDF forces.

Maybe NDF should be expelled from the SAA enclave. They can go defend the christian town islamists are attacking.

“they could go back to their lala land fantasy Kurdistan” LOL. They are already in Kurdistan. They’re not going anywhere. And Karel is correct, the NDF are the idiots here.

There is nothing kalled Kurdistan in Syria. Sdf should be dismantled. And their american and Israeli allies should be kicked out.

It’s clear they are of no use in Al-Qamishli : it’s been a loooong time SDF has cleansed ISIS from the region. If they’re boring themselves and suffer from lack of action, there is plentiful rock’n’roll in Idlib.

Durze? you mean druze. Druze mostly support Assad its lebanese Druze that often dont, danny boy. Turkmen are like 1% of Syria and those in Iraq are often shia so they would support Assad. Where does your obsession with killing people you disagree with come from? Criminal Netanyahu?

Funny you mention radicals (terrorists), I wonder how much they care about your support. theyll seize any chance to put you for ransom or kill you if it makes their pleasure (on video). thats what you get for supporting real CRIMINALS.

Once Turkey receives S-400….. Kurds and their master will slowly disappear from the region.

Wanna bet? I double dog dare Erdogan to shoot down an US F-18, F-16 or F-15, or even an EU Typhoon. Yeah, c’mon! Show us you have bälls! I can’t wait for US reaction, or even Brussels. US will crucify Erdogan by the böllocks, at best [for Turkey], EU will just use soft power, then fück up the 2 thirds of Turkish economy. A good advise : take a good unemployment insurrance, you will need it! Now let’s hope Angela+Juncker will consider expelling all Turkish expats from the EU : they’re 5.5M… First, the two-bit Sultan will have a serious… Read more »

Once Turkey receives S-400 it will be most likely expelled from NATO, the PKK will be delisted, and the US will most probably mount tactical strikes on Ankara to support the overthrown of the Turkish government. There will then follow a “Turkish spring” and Erdogan will go out just like Hussein and Gaddafi. Fingers crossed.
