A brand new T-90 tank successfully passed the underwater leakage test before being commissioned, footage filmed on Monday in Nizhny Tagil shows.
After being assembled, the T-90 was lowered into a special ford-imitating pool, where it is checked for watertightness. During the test, the tank spends at least twenty minutes at a depth of five meters before being taken out again.
After the leak test, the tank’s fire control systems, air conditioning systems and powerplant are all tested on the testing range. At least six hours are spent checking each tank.
