BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:15 P.M.) – The Syrian residents in the occupied Golan Heights rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent move to name a new settlement after U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the residents of Majdal Shams, Baka’ata, Ayn Qinyah and Masa’ada said that Netanyahu’s move was an aggressive and illegal procedure which contradicts the UN charter and resolutions.

Sidqi Al-Maqt, who was recently released from an Israeli prison, stressed that citizens of the Golan Heights are facing unjust measures imposed on the Syrian people of the occupied territories.

On Sunday, Netanyahu announced that he was naming a new settlement in the occupied Golan Heights after the U.S. President.

Netanyahu’s decision to name this settlement after Trump comes just a month after the U.S. President announced his country’s recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over this region.

The point is that after 19 years of constant shelling into Galilee by SAA and the participation to 3 wars of aggression on Israel, Syria has definitively lost GH.
Had Syria implied in peace and good neighbourhood from the start instead of following the advising of the Arab-League or of some monsters like Hajj Amin al-Husseini, GH still would be Syrian, moreover, Tsahal would have helped in 2011, as they’re (discretely) help Egyptian army against ISIS/Sinai-Wilayat, or they helped Egypt at getting rid from Morsi…

There is no dream era : that is REALITY : GH are no more under Syrian control and never will be again unless Syria manages to take them by force… Considering how the area is strategic and compromised Israel’s security for several decades, IMHO, since they’re said having recuperated the US special air-spraying containers US have created in the goal to spread nuclear waste in Taliban occupied area. These containers were never used. It’s still a rumour, nevertheless, in their case, it makes sense : this would allow them to rapidly put in place area denial zones : go through… Read more »

Shel Scott : Golan Heights were already part of Jewish Palestine during the Brit mandate… http://es.abna24.com/upload/image/2017/11/29/ab89b3b74c5f38d70b8cabc7d5616140_968.jpg What I don’t get is how GH were transferred to the French mandate.. or if thy ever were : I still miss something in my historical researches… Israel should propose them to buy bigger houses on bigger terrain in Syria for those not liking the idea of living in Israel, problem solved… After all, the 3rd of Golan Heights are under Syrian control and the land in the DMZ has zero value, they would just move a few km, and Israel can absolutely accept… Read more »
