DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:30 P.M.) – The US-backed Syrian rebels and their families are set to leave Tanf area in southeastern Syria to the country’s north as per an agreement with the Syrian government.

The evacuees belong to al-Qaryateen Martyrs Brigade; a US-backed and trained rebel group which has been engaged in fight against both ISIS and the Syrian Army.

The group is active in Tanf area where the US Army has a military base.

According to the agreement, the surrendered militants shall hand over all their heavy weapons and technical vehicles before the Syrian government can transport them to the country’s north.

This is a Civilized Place for Public Discussion

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Well, after ISIS is annihilated in the Syrian deserts, these terrorists around Al Tanf would become fully isolated and subjected to a devastating attack from SAA and it’s allies! They chose to flee in one of the last moments remaining.
The terrorist-controlled parts of Syria are shrinking, soon there will be no other theaters of war in Syria besides north-west, north and north-east Syria…

Only NW. There is no “war” with the Kurds.
Will not be easy to put up a win-win agreement but it’s absolutely feasible.

US, Israeli & Western Canada, UK, French EU & Arab Saudi UAE Qatari backed terrorists are all being defeated one by one. SAA & President Assad with the Russian support is on a high roll winning all the battles. This has really not gone well to the backers. The last & final battle in Syria is going to be in Idlib and we all can see why US & Israel & EU are so ruffled at the prospect of last of their boys who will be terminated.
