DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:00 P.M.) – The city of Sweida has once more come under rocket attack by rebel fighters stationed in the adjacent eastern countryside of Daraa as the Syrian Army resumes massive assault against terror groups.
Today’s attack has caused substantial material damages in the predominantly-Druze city which has been remained safe until recently.
The rocket attacks are carried out by militants of Jabhet al-Nusra and other FSA factions controlling the eastern countryside of Daraa province, now under heavy artillery and aerial bombardment by the Syrian Army.
Hardline militants attacked the city twice last week; killing and injuring scores of civilians.
Last night, the Syrian Army’s 4th Division began pounding rebel positions and fortifications in Daraa al-Balad district with the highly-destructive Golan missiles.
