BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:50 P.M.) – Minutes ago, the U.N. announced that the Syrian peace talks will resume in Geneva on February 23rd.
The Syrian opposition and government will both send delegations to Geneva to discuss a possible political solution to the six year long conflict.
The opposition delegation will be led by Riad Hijab, the former Prime Minister of Syria under Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
The Syrian government has not announced the leader of their delegation; however, it will most likely be Syria’s U.N. delegate Dr. Bashar Al-Ja’afari.
