BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 P.M.) – A mine-clearing operation saw hundreds of explosives being laid out in Douma on Wednesday, following the city’s liberation from Jaysh al-Islam militants.

According to the Russian Reconciliation Centre for Syria, Syrian sappers have so far detected and defused a total of 1.2 thousand mines, 1.5 tonnes of explosive material and four thousand home-made explosive devices.

The centre also reported that an arsenal left behind by militants included landmines with the markings of manufacturers of NATO-member countries.

Douma’s demining process is expected to take at least three months from start to finish, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria said.

The Russian Defence Ministry has stated that the evacuation of more than 21,000 militants and their family members concluded on April 13.

This will come in very handy in Idlib, Homs & Hama operations.

NATO supplied explosives will now be used against NATO supported Shitlamist terrorists by NATO opposed Syrian Army.

Just goes to show that no matter how much so ever explosives & materials NATO supplied to the terrorists they were unable to beat SA.

The amounts of ammo captured – to me, is just absolutely baffling.

LL-Syria : NATO countries didn’t supplied : not a single one has voted ANY budget to do so, not even the Yanks. It’s actually their Gulf clients that purchased this gear then redistributed it! e.g. KSA bought 15,000 TOW missiles and 750 launchers in 2014. They also bought 300 T-52 and T-62 tanks from, if I remember well, Bulgaria or maybe Romania and/or some former Yugoslavia states. Here in western Europe, criminals are often equipped with AK-47/AKM, Makarov or Tokarev pistols. Does the Russian state supplies these criminals? No, H3LL, NO! But, although being tricked into a trap, remember Viktor… Read more »

You are absolutely right DBS.
Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich Arab countries Saoudi & Qaattar funded the Wahhabbi terrorists to get these & of course money can buy everything and there are so many who are ready to sell except happiness. War materials fetch huge revenues and huge profit margins. Your last line is 100% true. Finally the Syrian war surplus will definitely shifted or sold to another war theater.

@Long Live Syria, Likely they will fuel the next war.

Not only the Bani Saud but the US, Turkey – invested money in this oil war.

p.s. And even some of their own services warned the US that the weapons bought, traded and given away would end up with terrorists. The US were pestered by most of their NATO allies in the EU and told the give away weapons would end up with terrorists. The EU financed CAR project showed the path of weapons even to IS.

@Long Live Syria,

NATO is no country. NATO cannot produce arms. NATO did not support the Is-lamers. NATO did not supply explosives.

p.s. The US, UK and Turkey are definitely NATO members and into the war but they are not the NATO. These NATO remembers and their Arab Gulf allies bought weapons and falsified end-user certificates. The shoddy end user certificates are mostly of US origin.

These weapons and ammo were then given to vetted terrorist groups. They traded or lost these arms to other terrorist groups and even to IS. See CAR report on weapons origin.

SD, you are right. US has definitely helped either directly or in directly, there are so many countries through which these arms & ammunition & explosives were pushed in. Jordan, Turki. The fat bellied Saoudi & Qattari sheikhs also have put their hand into the cookee jar and provided the huge manna by funding. Every one knows about the End User Cert but then who cares? Now imagine so many Tow ATGMs & missiles and also the Manpads available in Syria either with so many terrorists, Daesh or with SA which are being used so regularly. Many a terrorists faked… Read more »

@Long Live Syria,

there are only weapons with the markings of manufacturers of NATO-member countries.

p.s. The arms and ammo are mostly from poorer countries on the Balkan/South Easter Europe. They produce Warsaw pact / Soviet Union style weapons and ammo.

All these items are compatible with Russian supplied hardware.
