BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:30 P.M.) – A source in Damascus told Al-Masdar News on Saturday that the Syrian military is still training with the S-300 air defense system.
“The S-300 will take time to learn, but they (Syrian military) are getting very close to completing their training,” the source said.
“Russians are working with the military to perfect their use of the S-300,” he added.
The S-300 was delivered to the Syrian Arab Republic by the Russian Federation on October 1st.
Since its arrival, the Syrian military has installed a launching site near the large city of Masyaf, which is located along the Hama-Tartous provincial border.
