BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:00 A.M.) – The Syrian military reportedly reinforced their air defenses in southern Syria this week amid recent threats along the border with the occupied Golan Heights.
Video footage released this week showed the Syrian military deploying a Pantsir-1 air defense system in the southern province of Dara’a.
Previously, the Israeli Air Force destroyed one of the Syrian military’s Pantsir air defense systems in the Al-Quneitra Governorate; this prompted Damascus to beef up their presence in this area.
With the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) preparing to launch their southern Syria offensive, the military will need to protect their forces from any potential Israeli attacks.
