BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 P.M.) – The Syrian military is once again on high alert after Israeli warplanes returned to the Lebanese-Damascus border this evening, a source told Al-Masdar News.
According to the military source, the Israeli warplanes were conducting several flights along Lebanon’s southern and central regions throughout the day before they moved towards the Syrian border.
In particular, the Israeli warplanes were seen flying from the Nabatieh Governorate to the Beqa’a Valley in Lebanon’s eastern region.
The Israeli warplanes typically take this flight path when they launch attacks on Syrian installations inside the Damascus and Homs provinces.
The Israeli warplanes also conducted flights over the large cities of Chouf, Jezzine, and ‘Aley.
Last night, the Syrian military activated their air defenses after a number of enemy projectiles were fired towards the town of Al-Kisweh in southwest Damascus.
The Syrian military said that they managed to shoot down all the enemy projectiles after an hour-long engagement.
