BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:15 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has handed over the town of Al-Hader in southern Aleppo to the Russian military, per the recent Astana Peace Conference agreement.
According to a military source in Aleppo, the Russian military police took over Al-Hader in order alleviate tensions between the Syrian Arab Army
(SAA) and Turkish military in the Aleppo Governorate.
The Syrian Army has officially withdrawn from Al-Hader to the nearby mountaintop in Jabal Azzan.
This move by the Syrian Army and Russian military police comes just hours after the Turkish Army established a new observation point in western Idlib.
Sources from the Syrian Army added that the Russian military police in the area are planning to take over several other front-lines points near the Turkish military’s lines.
