BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – The Syrian military has denied any attack took place at the Damascus International Airport this evening.
According to the source, there was a false alarm around the radius of the Damascus International Airport; this prompted the military to activate their air defenses.
Russia’s Sputnik News reported that a source at the airport confirmed that there was no disruption at the installation.
“A source at the Damascus International airport told local media that there had been no attack and that air traffic is operating under normal routine, contrary to earlier reports claiming that a missile strike had been repelled,” Sputnik reported.
This is the second time this year that the Syrian air defenses have been activated over a false alarm.
