BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) eliminated an entire Islamic State (ISIL) convoy attempting to travel across the Huwayjah Crossing near the Deir Ezzor Military Airport’s northern perimeter, Wednesday.
A Syrian jet reportedly struck the four vehicle convoy, Wednesday, as they were preparing to travel to the northern part of the Deir Ezzor Airbase to launch a new assault against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) units stationed there.
Video footage of the air force strike was released by local activists, yesterday, showing the aftermath of the attack around the Huwayjah Crossing.
According to a military source in Deir Ezzor, the army believes at least 10 Islamic State militants were killed during Wednesday’s attack along the Huwayjah Crossing in Deir Ezzor.
