BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:30 A.M.) – Syrian Air Force Intelligence agents confiscated a large amount of weapons destined for the Damascene suburb of Barzeh on Sunday, a military source told Al-Masdar News.

The intelligence agents reportedly seized a large cache of RPG-29 rounds and US-manufactured anti-tank TOW missiles that were supposed to be delivered to the Saudi-backed “Jaysh Al-Islam” (Army of Islam) group in Barzeh.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Islamist rebels are lacking anti-tank missiles in the East Ghouta region; this is one of the reasons why they took a risk in attempting to smuggle guided missiles on Sunday.

The military source added that Sunday’s seizure of these missiles is good indication of Jaysh Al-Islam’s desperation in the East Ghouta.

“that were supposed to be delivered to the Saudi-backed “Jaysh Al-Islam” (Army of Islam) group in Barzeh”
Now the SAA should use the captured weapons against that group. They need to be routed out of the Damascus suburbs since isn’t that where they launch their missile attacks on Damascus civilians from?

Don’t worry, it’s exactly what’ll happen and BTW, as Iran delivers a TOW copy to SAA, they have guys trained to operate TOWs 😉

Not from Israel. It’s from US, Saudi, Qatar and Turkey.

Actually, it’s KSA that purchased 15,000 TOW missiles and according to the prices (1.1bln$), around 1 launcher per batch of 20-25 (count around 15k$ per missile and about 1.1M$ per launcher), from Raytheon in 2014. Don’t look further if you see a shithadist with a TOW!

It appears someone on the coalition side has been tipping off Syrian and Iraqi intelligence recently, possibly the same thing happening in Yemen as well.

Many of the rebel and ISIS leadership have been getting whacked in the past week.

The CIA/Mossad/MI6 backed terrorists seem to be having a rough month and it’s only going to get worse.

Those look like they would be useful against VBIEDs in Deir Ezzor.

Yeah the SAA should use them themselves. Very useful.
