BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 A.M.) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that the Syrian government has officially invited international experts to investigate the alleged chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun, speaking in Moscow on Saturday, at a joint press conference with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed al-Thani.

“The [Syrian] government has officially invited the experts by sending the relevant invitation to the organisation in The Hague,” Lavrov stated.

He insisted that Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) investigators should as well probe the US-bombed Shayrat Airbase, “where, according to our colleagues’ claims, shells with chemical weapons had been equipped.”

Al-Thani in his part stated that Qatar and Russia agree on many issues in Syria, “the most important of which – a necessity to respect the territorial integrity of the country and to put an end to humanitarian suffering of the Syrian people.”

Absolutely. But they mean that they want all Syria and Assad must give up his presidency – so that the suffering stops.

Absolutely – They will need samples from there area: “If however the problem is to ascertain facts about how the toxin has been produced, which may make it possible to establish who has used it, what are required are ‘environmental’ samples.” From: http://turcopolier.typepad.com/sic_semper_tyrannis/2017/04/sentence-first-verdict-afterwards-a-revision-by-david-habakkuk-14-april-2017.html

Qaeda will be delighted that the inspectors are invited into their territory.

p.s. To establish the provenience of the sarin You need environmental samples from the place it was used. The samples must be taken in a trusted manner. There are 5+ laboratories certified to check. Syrian government sarin and its precursor materials have been fingerprinted in 2014. In this war only “home brew” sarin has been used in Syria. Which IMHO compromises the terrorists that claimed it was used. Buena iniciativa, debe insistir en ello para desenmascarar las patrañas montadas por EE.UU. y hacer la denuncia ante la ONU, así mismo los medios occidentales deben aclarar la situación con la misma intensidad que mostraron ante el mundo.
