BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – The Syrian security forces uncovered a large hidden weapons cache, yesterday, inside the West Ghouta town of Darayya.

According to Al-Ikhbariya TV, the Syrian security forces uncovered the weapons cache while combing through some of the destroyed buildings inside of Darayya on Friday.

The Al-Ikhbariya TV report showed the basement of one of the destroyed buildings that included the weapons cache.

Inside the weapons cache was a large amount of mortar shells, RPG launchers, RPG rounds, assault rifles, and IED materials.

Below is the video of the weapons cache in Darayya:

Darayya was captured by the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division in 2016, when they launched their large-scale operation in the West Ghouta region.

The capture of Darayya led to the future seizure of the entire West Ghouta region from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
