DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:00 P.M.) – Battles continue to rage in east Swaida countryside as the Syrian Army resumes offensive to uproot the Islamic State militants from its last stronghold.

Backed by the National Defense Forces, the Syrian Army advanced for 350 meters deep into the rocky cliffs to the north of Safa hilltops.

The recent advance, even though important, has proved costly for the government troops. Three Syrian Army soldiers were killed, 22 others injured during the bloody clashes.

According to a military source, the difficulty of the battle lies in the rocky cliffs surrounding the Hilltops. “Once penetrated, the entire area will fall in no time”, the source commented.

After ISIS is finished in Swaida, according to some information Russians are planning to close the airspace above Al-Tanf and let Syrian army kick all the terrorists from there (including USA, British and French). I really believe this time their time is up. Russians are fed up enough with their presence there…

If you believe what CNN says, you’re not near the end of dellusion. AFAIK, there are no French in al-Tanf and actually, US-backed MaT has wiped out most of ISIS here, thus, there are still tiny groups hiding in caves. Russians don’t care about their presence, it changes nothing to Putins’ plans, in fact, he’d even want having SAA, SDF, SyAAF, RuAF and CJTF/OIR teaming at cleansing Idlib/Afrin/al-Bab… Trump and western-EU wouldn’t be against, the problem comes from US congressmen and East-EU countries. Another problem is to convince Assad to send his two millstones back home especially since their final… Read more »

Pretty sure more than 3 soldiers killed with 22 injured among Saa and Ndf. Wouldn’t be surprised if the true numbers are 22 killed and 3 injured. Needless to say whenever Saa meet up with Islamic mujahideen you best believe Alawite Shia will die in there rage. Islamic State Mujahideen are known for terrorizing and terminating Saa rats wherever they are in Syria.
