The U.S. backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) reportedly captured the Al-Na’imi District in Menbeij City on Sunday morning after a fierce battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
According to YPG social media activists, the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to take advantage of U.S. Coalition’s airstrikes on the Islamic State’s defenses, paving the way for their fighters to overwhelm the terrorists.
The Syrian Democratic Forces have effectively besieged the key city of Menbeij in northeast Aleppo, leaving no flank available for the terrorists to retreat.
Making matters worse for ISIS, they are sitting ducks for U.S. Coalition airstrikes over the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.
Despite the immobile target, the U.S. Coalition has been criticized by several human rights groups for their ruthless airstrikes that have killed dozens of civilians in the Menbeij region.
