BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:00 A.M.) – A number of helicopters from the Syrian Arab Air Force landed inside the provincial capital of the Al-Hasakah Governorate last week, a military report claimed on Wednesday.

According to this report, at least four choppers landed inside the municipal stadium of Al-Hasakah; they were reportedly carrying Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reinforcements and military equipment.

No reason was given for this transport.

The provincial capital of Al-Hasakah is mostly under the control of the US-backed People’s Protection Units (YPG), which is a Kurdish-led group that operates primarily in northern Syria.

While there is a non-aggression agreement between the YPG and SAA in Al-Hasakah, the latter has not brought in reinforcements to this front since 2015, when the city was under attack by the Islamic State (ISIS).
