BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 A.M.) – The Syrian government has begun a campaign to arrest security personnel caught looting or selling stolen goods from the East Ghouta region, a military source told Al-Masdar tonight.

According to the source, a large police force has entered the East Ghouta in order to ensure no more looting take place.

The source added that the primary culprits behind the looting were members of the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF).

The National Defense Forces have been accuse looting captured areas on several occasions, prompting the government to crackdown on their personnel.

Looting as a solder in a West Armies is considered a very hefty 3 years sentence at minimum. Syrian government shall take appropriate actions and crack down all such activities and send those solders at prison. So, all others must think twice before they commit looting…

“West armies” are well known for looting tons of Gaddafi’s gold, Ukrainian gold, endless and priceless items of world’s heritage antiques in Iraq, and so on. Let go the killing of millions throughout the last 3 centuries in order to loot 3rd world countries’ resources.
I wouldn’t compare the se rial perpetrators of those UNPUNISHED crimes with a NDF member that stole a wristwatch or a refrigerator.
