BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:55 A.M.) – The Abkhazian-based ANNA News media network has released a 15-minute field report showing the operation by the Syrian Army that led to the splitting of rebel-held territories in Damascus’ East Ghouta region.
The field report follows the actions of a platoon-sized Tiger Forces Division detachment storming insurgent defenses inside the militant stronghold town of Masraba with shock troops, armored vehicles and Russian air support.
The footage captured by ANNA shows (from multiple angles including point-of-view and drone camera) heavily up-armored Syrian Army main battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles suppressing rebel fire support positions as government soldiers move through Masraba’s farms and urban center.
On Sunday, the Syrian Army officially split militant-controlled areas of East Ghouta into two parts following the capture of the Mudayrah district; a three-way division was achieved on the following day with the isolation of the town of Harasta.
