DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:30 A.M.) – Ministry of Defense of the Syrian Arab Republic published a new video footage on Saturday that depicts some episodes of Syrian Armed Forces military operation against the so-called “Islamic State” in eastern part of Homs province.

Successful assault conducted by Syrian Army and their allies allowed them to seize Arak Gas station area from jihadists and also advance along Arak – Sukhnah road.

Supporting government troops from the air were Russian Mi-28N attack helicopters, as it can be seen on the video.

Government forces are poised to reach Sukhnah town as it is the last IS stronghold in eastern Homs countryside that lies on the way to the besieged city of Deir Ezzor.
