BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) 1st Armored Division sent a large number of reinforcements to the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate on Saturday.

According to a report from the Hama Governorate, the 1st Division reinforcements were specifically deployed to the Al-Ghaab Plain axis, where they will participate in the upcoming offensive against the jihadist rebels.

In particular, the 1st Division will join the elite 25th Special Mission Forces (formerly Tiger Forces) and the Republican Guard as they look to clear out the northern region of the Al-Ghaab Plain from the remaining jihadists.

This offensive will be conducted in conjunction with the Syrian Army’s operations in northeast Latakia and southern Idlib.

While the battle for the Al-Ghaab Plain has been a long time coming, it appears to be one of the army’s first steps towards the strategic city of Jisr Al-Shughour.

Jisr Al-Shughour is considered the jihadist capital in northwestern Syria and a major supply hub for these militant groups.

No se debe esperar la ofensiva, tampoco debe existir alto al fuego a pedido de Rusia para complacer a Erdogan.
