BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies have been making steady gains in the southeastern countryside of Damascus recently, taking control of several points near the Jordanian border.
Led by the 5th Legion, the Syrian Arab Army has managed to capture more than 20 points near the Jordanian border these last six weeks.
As a result of these advances, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies have positioned themselves within 55km of the Tanf Military Base, which is currently under the control of the U.S. Coalition.
While it is still not clear whether or not the U.S. Coalition will remain at this base in the near future, the continued pressure by the Syrian Army and their Iranian allies will likely lead to a potential conflict with the former in this region.
