ALEPPO, SYRIA – Just a few shy hours after the liberation of Hawarah hill and the adjacent Ma’zulah village, the Syrian Army’s elite Tiger Forces captured Beerat Al-Bab north of Aran city.

This latest advance places the government troops at some 3 kilometers south of Al-Bab with only Tadef and Abu Taltal villages standing in between.

Losing their main supply route to Al-Bab from the Deir Hafer plains thanks to the advances around Uweisha village, Islamic State terrorists find themselves increasingly isolated in their largest Aleppo stronghold.

It remains unclear whether the Syrian Armed Forces will proceed to capture the embattled city or whether they’ll shift their focus onto Deir Hafer while allowing the terror group to fight it out with the struggling Turkish forces and their Euphrates  Shield militias.
