BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:35 P.M.) – After liberating Marina village to the southeast of Ithriyah several days ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has since moved on to secure more key territory from ISIS militants in northeastern Hama Governorate.
Today the SAA captured several points and hilltops in the area around Qutnah Khara’eb to the southwest of Marina village.
Al-Masdar News currently has no information on losses sustained by either ISIS or the SAA, however in any case, it is know that firefights for the aforementioned sites took place.
By this advance today, the SAA has further increased its security buffer zone south of the Ithriyah to Raqqa highway and also protruded further into the Islamic State’s great salient in Hama Governorate.
