BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army tightened the siege on the jihadist-held Beit Jinn pocket in the Golan Heights, Saturday, following an intense battle with the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham rebel faction.

According to a military report from Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army’s 42nd Brigade (Ghiath Forces) of the 4th Mechanized Division, alongside Fouj Al-Joulan and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra, captured several hilltops in the Beit Jinn Farms.

In particular, the report stated that the Syrian Army and their allies seized the hilltops of Tal Al-Dab’ah and Lisan Al-Sakhar, giving the government fire control over the jihadist supply lines between Beit Tima and Kafr Hour.

Today’s operation also led to the death of at least seven Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham fighters and one field commander that was not named in the Syrian military’s report.
