The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched another offensive in the east Damascus countryside on Monday morning, targeting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) controlled Badiyah Cement Factory, Tal Abu Al-Shamat, and Tal Al-Safa near the contested town of Dumayr.

ISIS attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses at all of the aforementioned sites on Monday; however, they were repelled by the Syrian Armed Forces after a short battle.

According to a military source inside Damascus City, the Syrian Armed Forces secured every site that was attacked by the Islamic State terrorists on Monday, including the Badiyah Cement Factory.

Last week, ISIS was expelled from much of the Dumayr countryside after the Syrian Armed Forces and rebels launched separate offensives to reestablish control over this imperative area in east Damascus.
