BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army continued to target the jihadist rebels in the northern countryside of Latakia on Sunday, striking several Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) positions near the Turkish border-crossing.
Soldiers from the 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard carried out several missile attacks on Sunday, killing more than 20 Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham fighters inside the Tardeen area of Latakia.
According to a military source in Latakia, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade destroyed a bus carrying 20+ members of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham in Tardeen; this vehicle was entering Syria from the Turkish border-crossing.
In addition to the attack at Tardeen, the Syrian Arab Army also carried out an assault near the Jabal Turkmen town of Saraf in northern Latakia.
