BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:35 A.M.) – Two years ago, the thought of the Syrian Arab Army seizing Deir Hafer from the Islamic State (ISIL) was inconceivable, as they found themselves surrounded from almost every flank of Aleppo City.

On Wednesday, March 29th, 2017, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the last villages in the Deir Hafer Plain, expelling the Islamic State terrorists south towards their last bastion in the Aleppo Governorate.

In a matter of 3 months, the Syrian Arab Army liberated more than 190 villages and two dozen hilltops, paving the way for their large-scale advance to the Euphrates River in order to end the water crisis plaguing the province.

With Deir Hafer under their control, the Syrian Arab Army can now shift their control to the Maskanah Plain, where they hope to liberate the strategic Jirah Military Airport and the last villages around the Al-Raqqa Governorate’s border.

OT. No, frère look at the map. IMHO They would have needed a Stalingrad like pocket town where many men sacrifice to stabilize this front. Or a serious heavy counter strike. No serious counter strike against forces with absolute air superiority. That was the lesson of Northern France for harder troops and competent generals. Plus they would have needed a heavy dose of reserves. As it is: A unit in strategic depth that threatened the supply lines was given by the SDF on the Southern river side in Raqqa governorate. Russian classic! There were no or little reserves. Instead the… Read more »

USA decided to give this land to Kurds so they just kindly asked their terrorists to leave. Just a theatre for people. But greater Israhell is still on the table.

Ciudad fantasma, seguro que ISIS ha dejado células dormientes que mas adelante llevaran atentados suicidas.
