Following some gains made in the cemetery of Deir Ezzor on Friday, the Syrian Army had to withdraw from all points liberated on the same day.
This was because the Syrian Army were not able to solidify their defensive positions, making them vulnerable to an ISIS offensive which could incur a huge casualty list to the government forces.
ISIS has relentlessly been using suicide VBIED attacks to weaken Syrian Army defensive positions, which was a primary concern in the cemeteries and a reason for the withdrawal after the tough earned gains.
It is unknown at this time whether ISIS have reentered and reclaimed the territory they lost to the Syrian Army only yesterday.
